Cider Adventure

ENGLAND, Vintage Cider, Med-dry Apple, 8.2%, 500ml, Tesco, 2.19f (2015)
Color: Straw with nice white head and a lot of tiny bubbles

Smell: Dry aroma of a white wine and fermented apples, the high alcohol content has a significant impact

Taste: Feeling of champagne at the beginning gently passes to bitter apple, fizzed alcohol pinches a tongue and ends with intensive nice aftertaste

My subjective conclusion: I can call it an apple wine. It's dry, but high alcohol content is well covered with full apple aroma. It really has exceptional character to which I would like to come back. Cheers Henry! 7/10

ENGLAND, Med-dry Apple, 6.8%, 500ml, Tesco, 2.19f
Color: Dark golden and orange with many tiny bubbles

Smell: Dry with aroma of fermented apples, but I can feel also some sweet notes

Taste: Quite complex and not so light. Starts like champagne then it attacks the middle of the tongue with intensive bitter that reminds me fermented apples burned in bonfire. Dry finish, also very similar to champagne, but with sour apple addition. Aftertaste is suprisingly very pleasant, it's dry, but with these sweet notes that you can smell at the beginning. However, there is one weak point: general metallic flavour at every step.

My subjective conclusion: Dry, full and complex taste makes it a rather occassional drink. Good substitute for champagne. Better to compose it with some appetizers for better impression, it's hard to just drink it alone. 6/10

ENGLAND, Med-sweet Apple, 5.3%, 500ml, Tesco, 1.99f
Color: Clear golden cider full of bubbles

Smell: Pleasing smell of crispy apples with a bit of alcohol that makes a semi-dry impression

Taste: It starts with a beer flavour and medium sour apple notes, light bitter and well carbonated. Semi-dry finish with mild crispy sour apple aftertaste.

My subjective conclusion: Good enough. Taste of apples is not very natural, but it is definitely drinkable. It is really good as a dinner drink or as a substitute for a beer 7/10.

SWEDEN, Sweet Pear, Strawberry, Lime 4.0%, 500ml, Tesco, 2.19f
Color: charming gently pink, it has a crystal impression in the light.
Smell: I really can see a basket full of fresh, very sweet strawberries when I close my eyes and smell it, amazing. The lime in the background gives a refreshing expression. In general deeply sugary and juicy.
Taste: Make sure that it is well chilled before serving! At the beginning very sweet (even too sweet for me) with strong strawberry dominance quite similar to strawberry Mamba chews. Sweet lime and pear ending. It is quite light, but sticky in texture. After a while it leaves candy-like mawkish aftertaste, for me it is the most important disadvantage of this cider. After a bottle I feel like I ate a bag of candies.
My subjective conclusion: I can't recommend this cider-like fizzy drink unless you organise cute girls' night or really want to drink something super sweet. 3/10.

ENGLAND, Med-dry Apple, 5.0%, 500ml, Tesco, 1f
Color: Light gold with white head

Smell: Similar to beer with apple notes

Taste: It starts with beer flavour and ends with beer flavour. Sour apples are somewhere there, but it is hard to say more about them. Short medium-dry aftertaste with spirituous feeling.

My subjective conclusion: Weak for a cider, weak for a beer. At least it is cheap and can be used as a some source of alcohol with apple note. Fortunately it isn't forced to be sweet, so it is drinkable in larger amount if you plan a big party.  4/10.

SWEDEN, Sweet Pear, Wild Berries 4.0%, 500ml, Tesco, 2.19f
Color: crystal pink, full of bubbles.
Smell: Sweet and fruity.
Taste: Make sure that it is well chilled before serving! Not so sweet as the strawberry version, but it should be even less sugary. Very refreshing, without any bitter or alcohol trace. Pleasing juicy sweet aftertaste. It really tastes rather like a fizzy soft drink not a cider.
My subjective coclusion: Better than strawberry version, I've really enjoyed the taste and  I'm sure that many people would love this. But I don't know how to rate this as a cider. Judge it yourself. (No mark from me)
